Back Boilers became popular during the 1960s, continuing through to the 1980s, but are now somewhat outdated, bypassed by combi boilers.

We replace your old back boiler with combi boiler or air source heat pump depending on your location in the UK. New combi boilers are more reliable than the old back boiler. The life span of the combi boiler is also less than the old back boiler. A combi boiler will last you around ten years and often come with a two or seven-year guarantee. If you service your old back boiler regularly, it will last you a lot longer.

Back Boiler Removal Costs

First, we will need to remove your old back boiler. You will need to allow extra removal to cost around £600-800 to remove the boiler and capping pipework. More importantly, the back boiler and pipework need to be decommissioned.

After Back Boiler is Removed

We will next fit brand new combi boiler or air source heat pump.

Time Scale

To remove your old back boiler and fit a new boiler can take two to three days, so consider you will have no heating or hot water over these days.

You will need a new flue and and pipe work which is not covered in new boiler grant.
